Anesthesia… when every measure matters in pediatrics. Understanding the interactions between the respiratory and circulatory systems is essential for every pediatric anesthesiologist. Under normal conditions, the interactions between these organ systems are inconsequential. However, in pediatric patients they may become exaggerated and of great importance during certain disease states and when each system is under the effects of general anesthesia.
