The Institutionalization of Bitcoin: What’s Next

Start Date: 24 February 2021

Start Time: 11:30 AM EST / 04:30 pm GMT

Duration:30 minutes

As the institutional adoption of Bitcoin rapidly expands across sectors – from companies incorporating digital assets into their treasury reserve strategy and purchasing Bitcoin for their general investment accounts, to corporate and investment banks seeking partners to offer the crypto version of traditional securities services to pensions, asset managers and other clients – many wonder “what’s next?” for this in-demand industry operating at the intersection of financial services and digital assets.

In this fintechNEXT webinar, Yan Zhao, recently appointed President of NYDIG and Co-Founder of Stone Ridge Asset Management, will discuss the implications of continued institutional flows into Bitcoin, what trends will emerge over the coming months, and why investor and platform solutions are equally important plays for institutions looking to make a name for themselves in digital assets. Yan will also talk about her experience as a woman in both the financial services and crypto worlds and how her professional background will frame her go-forward strategy for NYDIG.
