Abstract:
For systems of record entering the API economy, creating APIs is just the first step. The next challenge is making these new assets visible to the entire enterprise while intelligently managing access to them. IBM API Connect is an integrated API management offering that spans the steps in the API lifecycle—creating, running, managing, and securing APIs—and for the actions that surround the lifecycle. It is a tool that is useful for both development and systems management. Developers gain awareness of APIs and are able to test them before use, while Systems Managers can control who can see and access APIs and prevent system overload. This session will discuss API Connect—how it works and how it enables exposing existing host services for consumption.
