This webinar provides NFPA 70E’s key tenets and aids in clarifying the purpose and priorities of this standard. The essential information discussed includes responsibilities, electrical hazards, enforcement of the standard, the hierarchy of risk controls, risk assessment processes, normal operating condition, and incident energy as it relates to PPE selection. Attendees will be provided with an educational presentation as well as numerous valuable resources regarding NFPA 70E. Learning Objectives:

- Recognize the responsibilities of NFPA 70E compliance.
- Ensure a thorough breakdown of NFPA 70E priorities.

Speakers
 Michael J. Johnston Executive Director of Codes and Standards National Electrical Contractors Association Michael Johnston is NECA’s executive director of codes and standards. Mike holds a degree in business from the University of Phoenix. Mike is the Immediate Past Chairman of the NFPA NEC Correlating Committee. He is also an active member of the NFPA Standards Council. Johnston is a member of the IBEW and an active member of ANSI, IAEI, NFPA, SES, ASSP, the UL Electrical Council, the National Safety Council and a member as well as immediate past Chair of the NFPA Electrical Section.
 Kyle Krueger Director of Codes and Standards National Electrical Contractors Association Kyle Krueger is NECA’s Director of Codes and Standards. Kyle holds a WI Master Electrician License, Commercial Electrical Inspector License, and Design Engineer of Electrical Systems, he is also certified thru NFPA as a Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP). Kyle currently represents NECA as Principle on CMP-3 of the NEC® and the Correlating Committee for The National Fire Alarm Code® (NFPA 72). Krueger is the Assistant Secretary of NECA’s Codes and Standards Committee, as well as an active member of NFPA, IAEI, ANSI, SES, and the IBEW.
