Ian Brennan

Vice President of Procurement Advisory Services


Ian Brennan is the Vice President of Procurement Advisory Services and the National Procurement and Fairness Practice Lead for BDO. Ian along with his team of professional procurement practitioners strive to deliver procurement projects within a proven process which delivers the business outcomes the organization is seeking in a framework that is open, transparent, fair, and auditable. In this role, Ian is responsible for leading a team of consultants and delivering procurement, fairness and management consulting engagements with the public sector (federal, provincial, municipal and broader public sector clients), private sector, and not for profit clients. Ian has over 25 years of procurement and supply chain experience. Ian has worked in the retail, services, manufacturing sectors for the first half of his career and has now been providing procurement-consulting services for over ten years. Ian has worked on more than 100 plus procurement and fairness projects in the public sector at the federal, provincial and municipal levels since 2010. The majority of these projects are complex, large dollar value, multiple stakeholder projects with high visibility to both the public and internally with senior management. Ian is BDO’s Team Lead on all fairness assignments for Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC). Ian oversees a team of consultants who provide fairness monitoring serviced to federal government projects. Ian has an undergraduate degree from the University of Windsor, an Advanced Purchasing Certificate from Ryerson Polytechnic University and a Project Management Certificate from University of Toronto. Ian obtained his Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) designation from the Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) of Canada in 2001. Ian is currently on the Procurement Advisory Council for Durham College. In this role, Ian provides industry advice to Durham College to ensure their supply chain and operations program and course curriculum is relevant and aligned to current trends and requirements in today’s marketplace.

Anna has been providing tailored services to the needs of entrepreneurs in the areas of business and strategic planning, marketing, financial and operations management for over 20 years. Prior to joining BDO, Anna worked in various sectors, including manufacturing, academia and not-for-profit.

He has worked with a wide range of Manufacturing & Distribution organizations, including capital equipment, aerospace & defense, electronics, food & beverage, breweries, clothing & consumer goods, lumber, chemicals and paint, distributors and wholesalers. David’s engagements have include projects in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. He currently focuses mainly on organizations based in North America. He holds a B.Sc. In Psychology and has been Certified in Production and Inventory Management by the American Production and Inventory Control Society for more almost 30 years.
