Djurdja Andrich, DNP, ARNP, FNP-c
Djurdja Andrich is a Cardiovascular & Metabolic Disease Medical Science Liaison with AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals. Djurdja received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with minor in Chemistry from Indiana University and started her career in the pharma industry with Akorn Inc. as a Microbiologist. She then transitioned into healthcare, earning a Bachelor’s in Nursing from the University of Maryland (2006) and practicing as a Registered Nurse in hospital setting in Indiana, including five years in a cardiac care unit. Following receipt of her Master’s in Nursing from Purdue University (2014), Djurdja worked as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at an Endocrinology practice in South Florida. The majority of her practice focused on treating patients with Type 2 Diabetes and related comorbidities.
In 2017 Djurdja earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Miami. Her doctoral thesis focused on clinically meaningful improvements in quality of life for patients living with Type 2 Diabetes through evidence-based practice, innovation, and research. Her manuscript, “Improving Glycemic Control and Quality of Life With Diabetes Self-Management Education: A Pilot Project” was published in the Journal of Continuing Education in Nursing.
