How Lean and Critical Path Methods Enhance One Another

On Demand until October 25, 2017

Duration:60 minutes

Critical Path-Method scheduling and Lean Construction techniques seem at first to have an inherent conflict, one focused on the long-term and the other focused on the near-term, but that isn't the case. Major construction companies have begun to blend the two into a more powerful management system.

This webinar will describe the ways that contractors are merging the two systems, and the digital tools that make that possible, so that Last Planner methods that are part of Lean can add important workflow, crew size, location and resource information to keep the Critical Path Schedule properly updated and keep the long-term goal of on-time completion paramount.

During this webinar, industry professionals will provide their insights on the below questions:

  • How often must a CPM schedule be adjusted to make a project successful?
  • What types of time and training are needed?
  • What projects have been delivered this way and were they successful?

The content of this webinar is produced and directed by ENR’s editorial team.
