Abstract:

Plant-based protein is hot, with everything from hemp, chickpeas, mung beans, lupini beans and watermelon seeds featuring in new snacks. But we’re also seeing strong growth and innovation in meat snacks, fueled in part by the Paleo trend, while whey protein remains a favorite with many in the sports nutrition field.


In this online Editorial Webinar, we bring together a clutch of snacking entrepreneurs utilizing a range of protein sources to talk about how the protein snacking trend is evolving, technical challenges to overcome, and how they are weaving their protein sources into their brand storytelling.

Wang worked in strategy and marketing at Abercrombie and Microsoft. In college, Wang managed HSA Cleaners and The Harvard Shop through Harvard Student Agencies, managing an annual budget of $1.5M. She also has a passion for education and sits on the board of an education non-profit, Wema Inc., in Kenya. Wang is a graduate of Harvard College.

He later served as CEO of Stirrings from 2004-2008 and CEO of Immaculate Baking Co from 2008-2013. Prior to his current role he was an operating partner at Sherbrook Capital, a private equity firm, where he served on the board of directors for Angie’s BOOMCHICKAPOP.

Collins is a passionate advocate for improving the way animals are raised, how grasslands are managed, and increasing the availability of nourishing animal protein to consumers through EPIC Provisions, which specializes in meat-based products that are regeneratively sourced and humanely-raised. In his role at EPIC, Taylor drives product development management, innovation and overall brand development. Additionally, Taylor oversees content creation, messaging, positioning and brand design.
