Dave Nadig

CEO, Moderator

Dave Nadig is the CEO of Previously, Dave was the Director of Exchange Traded Funds at FactSet Research Systems, a position he took when divested itself of the ETF data business which he previously ran as’s Chief Investment Officer. Dave returned to in November 2016, picking up after first joining the firm in 2008.

Dave has been involved in researching, reporting and analyzing the investment management industry for more than 20 years, and recently co-authored a definitive book on ETFs, A Comprehensive Guide To Exchange Traded Funds for the CFA Institute.

As a Managing Director at Barclays Global Investors, Dave helped design and market some of the first exchange-traded funds. With partner Don Luskin, he went on to found, a revolutionary transparent mutual fund company that pushed fund disclosure to the top of the SEC agenda. As co-founder at Cerulli Associates in the early '90s, he conducted some of the earliest research on fee-only financial advisers and the rise of indexing. Dave is widely quoted in the financial press, a regular speaker at finance conferences, and publishes a widely read blog at He’s has an MBA in Finance from Boston University.

John Feyerer, CFA

John Feyerer is Vice President, Director of Invesco PowerShares Equity ETF Product Strategy that represents the PowerShares family of exchange-traded funds (ETFs). In this role, John oversees PowerShares’ equity ETF product strategy functions, including the development and application of strategies and tactics for product positioning and portfolio implementation. John and his team develop research-related content designed to help clients better understand equity ETF strategies and their application in a portfolio context with particular emphasis on the rapidly emerging “smart beta” arena. He has been quoted in Barron’s, Wall Street Journal, Investment News and numerous trade publications and is a regular speaker at industry conferences and events. John joined PowerShares in April 2005, and prior to his current role in ETF product strategy, John led business operations for the firm and also served in a regional sales capacity.

Prior to joining PowerShares, John served in a variety of operating, financial and strategic roles over 14 years at The ServiceMaster Company based in suburban Chicago, Illinois.

John earned a B.A./M.A. in Communications from Wheaton College and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from Loyola University Chicago. He holds the Series 7, 24 and 63 registrations and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and member of the CFA Society of Chicago. He also serves on the Associate Editor Board for The Journal of Index Investing.

Scott West

Scott oversees one of the largest consulting divisions of its kind in the asset management industry. In this position, he works with and presents to financial advisors across North America.

Scott is a sought-after keynote speaker who brings thirty-plus years of industry experience coupled with a creativity known to educate and entertain. He is a co-author of five books, including StorySelling for Financial Advisors: How Top Producers Sell, which was named a “must read” by, and, most recently, Defining Conversations: A Little Book About a Big Idea.

Scott was with Van Kampen Investments prior to its combining with Invesco in 2010. In the 25+ years since he joined the firm, he advanced from field sales to regional sales and finally to national sales positions. In addition, he served as Director of Marketing. Prior to his career in financial services, Scott worked in sales distribution with Procter & Gamble. Scott holds a BA in economics and communications from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois.

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Scott is an avid hockey enthusiast. He assumes full credit for his Texas-born wife’s newfound love of the sport. Scott is the father of four children and resides in Wheaton, Illinois.

Craig J. Lazzara, CFA

S&P Dow Jones Indices

Craig J. Lazzara is Managing Director and Global Head of Index Investment Strategy for S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). The index investment strategy team provides research and commentary on the entire S&P Dow Jones Indices’ product set. Craig previously served as product manager for S&P Indices’ U.S. equity and real estate indices. These include the S&P 500® and the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Home Price Indices, two of the most widely tracked benchmarks in the world.

Prior to joining S&P Indices in 2009, Craig was a managing director of Abacus Analytics, a quantitative consulting firm serving the brokerage and investment management communities. He previously directed marketing and client service for ETF Advisors and Salomon Smith Barney’s Global Equity Index Group, as well as for the Equity Portfolio Analysis group at Salomon Brothers.

A Chartered Financial Analyst, Craig is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Business School.
