Changes in Tornado Shelter Requirements and How They Affect You

Start Date:11/1/2017

Start Time:2:00 PM EDT

Duration:60 minutes

Abstract:

The standard for the design and construction of storm shelters referenced in the 2015 International Building Code has replaced the previously referenced standard.

Buildings or spaces designed as a shelter from tornadoes within the scope of the 2015 International Building Code must conform to certain requirements.  The 2015 IBC® also mandates the construction of tornado shelters for all occupants of new k-12 schools, critical emergency operation centers, fire and police stations, and more.

To learn more about the requirements of the IBC and how they impact building products required for these shelters, join us during this valuable webinar.
