Bernie Spang is Vice President, Software Defined Infrastructure in IBM Systems. He has product line responsibility for IBM Spectrum Computing cluster virtualization software. His team is responsible for driving execution of the IBM Software Defined Infrastructure strategy in partnership with other teams across the company. Bernie has held various engineering, business-development, strategy and marketing roles at IBM over 31 years. He earned a master of computer engineering degree from Syracuse University during that time. Before joining IBM, he earned his engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology.
