Mathew leads Axiom’s Global Banking & Regulatory Response Practice. Partnering with Axiom’s growing client base, the practice focuses on development of innovative, tech-enabled and AI-powered responses to the complex and rapidly evolving regulatory and compliance landscape. Mathew joined Axiom Law in 2015 and has spent almost 20 years operating in highly regulated environments; both foreign and domestic. He has developed systems, regulatory adherence plans and compliance execution strategies for top clients around the globe.
Prior to joining Axiom, Mathew was on the founding executive team of Clarient Global LLC. He also served in various roles with DTCC. In 2013, Lewis was named to the Financial News 40 Under 40 Rising Stars in Trading and Technology. He received his executive MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2014.

J. Andrew Heaton is a principal in Ernst & Young LLP and serves as Global Lead Counsel – Data Privacy and Security for the global EY organization. In this role, he leads EY’s global data protection team, serves as global privacy officer for the organization, and advises EY on legal aspects of data protection and information technology worldwide. Prior to assuming his global responsibilities in 2014, he served in a similar capacity with EY’s practice in the United States, and was also lead counsel for EY’s financial services practice.
Mr. Heaton graduated summa cum laude from Bradley University in Illinois. He received his law degree with honors from the University of Chicago Law School. He joined EY in 1994 and was named a principal in 2000.

Prior to ATL, he launched Underneath Their Robes, a blog about federal judges. Before entering the media world, David worked as a federal prosecutor in Newark, New Jersey; a litigation associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, in New York; and a law clerk to Judge Diarmuid F. O'Scannlain of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. David graduated from Harvard College and Yale Law School, where he served as an editor of the Yale Law Journal. David's first book, Supreme Ambitions: A Novel, was published in 2014 to rave reviews.
