Painters and Allied Trades Labor Management Cooperation Initiative (LMCI)
John M. Burcaw, LMCI Strategic Initiatives Coordinator, is charged with developing, managing and optimizing external relationships between the Painters and Allied Trades Labor Management Cooperation Initiative (LMCI), industry stakeholders, and advancing the interests of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT), its members, and affiliates.
John’s insight and expert execution, stemming from his 25 years of industry experience is highly effective in leveraging new technology and enabling innovation to support overall growth and performance, while also providing alignment between the IUPAT, LMCI, and other strategic partners.
As a painter, John completed an IUPAT apprenticeship program and worked in the field until becoming a District Council Organizer in 2001. Mr. Burcaw also worked as an Apprenticeship Instructor and Coordinator along with holding multiple Local Union elected positions. John is an industry-recognized Instructor, highly influential within the Finishing Trades, holds multiple Industry Certifications and is an SSPC Certified Coatings Inspector.
Since being recruited by the Finishing Trades Institute (FTI) in 2004 and now with the LMCI, John has successfully spearheaded multiple industry projects for the FTI and LMCI.

Mr. Jones has over a decade of design experience with a wide range of project types, ranging from large higher education facilities to municipal, healthcare and museum work. He has been involved in projects from pre-design through construction phases and specializes in 3D, VR and video production services.
Mr. Jones is an expert in Building Information Modeling (BIM), using this technique to not only produce construction documents but to visualize what buildings, structures and spaces will look like, coordinate with the various consultants, and detect potential conflicts in the field.
Mr. Jones has both a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Fine Art & Computer animation from Florida Atlantic University and is a LEED certified, registered architect. Beyond his billable design duties at Clark Patterson Lee, Mr. Jones heads up an internal group called CPL Creative Labs, which keeps the firm on the leading edge of technology research, validation and implementation as it pertains to the AEC industry.
