Ashley Nunes is an Applications Scientist with Hilmar Ingredients’ Applications Innovation Center. She joined the company in 2005, becoming a lab assistant in 2010. Over the past 8 years, Ashley has built knowledge and formulation expertise in various processing systems such as aseptic, retort, hot & cold fill and extrusion. Not content to just tinker at the lab bench, Ashley takes her development work into the real world where she has hands-on experience doing commercial trials and working directly with co-packing, flavor and other ingredient companies. Ashley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science & Technology from Kansas State University and is currently pursuing her Master’s at Washington State University.

Lagrange is a consultant focused on dairy ingredients markets and growth strategies. She was Sr. VP of Business Development, Strategies and Insights for the US Dairy Export Council (2010-2018), where she managed a $2.2 million projects portfolio. In prior positions with the Council she directed marketing programs in Latin America, SE Asia, China and North Asia, and managed relationships with leading multinationals. She developed and led the US industry’s “Dairy for Global Nutrition” initiative designed to position dairy as a key driver of economic growth in emerging economies. She has a BS and MS in Food Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, a nutrition degree from Ecole de Medecine, Paris, France, completed the course requirements for the doctorate in Engineering Management at George Washington University, Washington, DC., nd the Executive Program “Managing Technical Professionals and Organizations” at MIT, Sloan School of Management, Cambridge, MA.
