Gary oversees Project Control and Facilities Information Technology functions to institute and maintain technology which supports capital project delivery and Facilities operations that enhance the campus environment.
He manages the integration and ongoing operation of e-Builder (project management software) with Banner Financials (University financial system), Archibus (space planning software) and Meridian BlueCielo (document management).

Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority
Christopher Burner is the Chief Project Officer with the Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority (Authority). Mr. Burner, provides overall executive direction through senior management staff for all planning, engineering and construction functions to ensure successful completion of the Foothill Extension light rail project.
Mr. Burner provides policy direction to assigned major functional areas, directs establishment of goals, major priorities, and develops strategies to resolve major project issues. He directs execution of studies, investigations, and analyses of technical issues for the CEO and Authority Board, including reports of findings, corrective action recommendations and supporting research.
Prior to joining the Foothill Extension Construction Authority, Mr. Burner was Director of Project Management at the Expo Construction Authority and an Associate with Booz Allen Hamilton. In these positions, he served in a management or consultant role on the Pasadena Gold Line, Eastside Extension, and Expo Line light rail design-build capital improvement projects as well as the Metro Orange Line bus rapid transit design-build project.
Mr. Burner is a former officer in the United States Air Force where he served as a project engineer in the Air Force’s space program.
Mr. Burner holds a Bachelors Degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech, a Masters Degree in civil engineering from Purdue University, and an MBA from UCLA. Mr. Burner is a registered professional civil engineering and a licensed contractor (Class A) in the State of California. He is a long-time member of American Society of Civil Engineers and a former commissioner on the City of Pasadena’s Transportation Commission.

Dan Conery serves as the Capital Program Advisor at e-Builder. Throughout his 24+ year career, Dan has leveraged a unique blend of backgrounds from the architect, engineering & construction industry, project & program management, and software industry to position tech companies for growth.
He most recently served as Vice President of Business Development at Newforma, Inc. He also served as VP of Construction and Owner Solutions at Newforma and key product roles at Oracle | Primavera.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Rochester, a Master of Science and Master of Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire.

Derrick has 22 years of experience as a journalist, spending the past 15 with Food Engineering’s parent company, BNP Media. He was previously the editor of Environmental Design+Construction and Sustainable Facility magazines and spent the past few years as content manager for BNP Media’s Packaging Group before joining Food Engineering.
