Jacob joined Lavaca in 2018 and is a Portfolio Manager with the firm. Prior to joining Lavaca he served in financial commodity sales and trading roles with banks Societe Generale and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group. Previously, he held similar positions with BP, Reliant Energy and Shell Trading. Jacob has over 20 years derivative investment experience in both exchange traded and complex OTC option structures. Jacob holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Rice University.

JJ is a more than 30-year industry veteran who began his career as a Chicago Board Options Exchange (Cboe) market maker in 1985, trading primarily in the S&P 100 (OEX) and S&P 500 (SPX) pits for 21 years. While spending his time there primarily as an independent market maker, he also worked for ING Bank and was Managing Director of Option Trading for Van Der Moolen, USA. In 2006, Kinahan joined the thinkorswim Group, which was eventually acquired by TD Ameritrade. Kinahan ‘s responsibilities include overseeing the thinkorswim platform, as well as tos Web and mobile trading platforms. He is also responsible for the TD Ameritrade Network and market structure at TD Ameritrade, which includes the firm’s client advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill, where he voices the needs of retail investors. Prior to this, he has served in a number of roles in the Trading, Education and Product Groups. Kinahan is also a CNBC regular, a Forbes contributor and is frequently quoted in many other respected media outlets. He has authored a Book, Essential Options Strategies. He is a CBOE Advisory Board Member, MEMX Board member and SIFMA Options Committee Vice Chairman. His licenses include the 3, 4, 7, 24 and 66.

Scott founded Lavaca Capital in 2014 and oversees all the firm’s operations, with a special focus on Portfolio Management. Prior to founding Lavaca Capital, he oversaw the investments of a family office with a focus on derivative investments and has over 15 years of investment management experience. Scott began his career in the Houston Audit Practice of KPMG and is a licensed CPA. Scott is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with undergraduate & graduate degrees in Accounting and Finance.

Matt Moran is Head of Index Insights at Cboe Global Markets. In this role, Moran is focused on the exchange's educational efforts for pension funds, Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), mutual funds, and other institutional investors. He has traveled to more than 100 cities worldwide to educate investors and deliver financial presentations. Prior to joining Cboe, Moran served as Trust Counsel at Harris Bank and Vice President at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He is an associate editor of The Journal of Beta Investment Strategies and has written articles for several financial publications, including The Journal of Trading and The Journal of Alternative Investments. Moran holds MBA and JD degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
