He spent the bulk of his career connecting people, organizations and businesses through vibrant storytelling and crafting compelling content across multiple media platforms as a news reporter. Art joined the RC team six years ago, and remains determined to carry out the publication’s mission of helping roofing contractors achieve their business potential by providing engaging and informative content, while also delivering the best stories in roofing, when and how they want them.

Beth has focused on supporting the brand, product, customer, and industry information needs of the construction industry since joining Clear Seas Research in 2006. Today, organizations focused on developing construction materials, equipment, and related services rely upon her industry research expertise and problem solving abilities to develop and orchestrate complex, multi-phased market research methodologies providing their companies with strategic information used to drive the direction of their product and service offerings.
Beth is responsible for strategic account management and business development, as well as management and development of Clear Seas Research’s quantitative and qualitative research practices. She provides strategic consulting, research design and analysis oversight for custom and syndicated research studies.
Beth began her career in market research in 1994 and has an extensive background in brand positioning, customer satisfaction, new product development, and marketing communications research. Prior to joining Clear Seas Research, Beth worked in the automotive division of GfK conducting national and global quantitative and qualitative research. Beth also worked at Market Strategies and Nordhaus Research conducting market research in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, financial, consumer packaged goods and political sectors.
Beth earned her Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Detroit-Mercy, and her Bachelor of Arts - Marketing degree from Oakland University.
John Kenney

John Kenney is the Chief Executive Officer at Cotney Consulting Group. Prior to joining Cotney, John had 45 years of experience in the construction industry. John started his career by working as a roofing apprentice at a family business in the Northeast. He also managed many successful projects in the New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania markets before continuing his accomplishments in Florida. Because of his skill and hard work, he progressed from roofing laborer to foreman, estimator, chief estimator, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer with his various companies.
John has worked for multiple Top 100 Roofing Contractors and is intimately familiar with all aspects of roofing production, estimating, and operations. In his last role, John was responsible for the daily operations and performance of a large commercial roofing contractor. During his tenure, John ran business units associated with delivering excellent workmanship and unparalleled customer service while ensuring healthy net profits for his company.
John also volunteers his time as a member of the Board of Directors for the West Coast Roofing Contractors Association. He has been involved with the organization for the last 20 years and currently serves as its President. One of John’s great joys is volunteering with many industry organizations, along with mentoring and giving back to the community.
