Stanley E. Kolbe, Jr. is Executive Director of Government and Political Affairs for the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association, Inc. (SMACNA). He is also treasurer of the organization’s political action committee, SMAC PAC. Mr. Kolbe has been a construction industry Washington representative for more than three decades, working on industry issues representing SMACNA, Inc. as well as the American Institute of Architects. Prior to that position he worked for the US Conference of Mayors and the United States Senate Small Business Committee. In his role as Executive Director, Stan implements an ambitious legislative and political affairs agenda for SMACNA to the Congress, the Administration and in various state legislatures. SMACNA has been significantly involved in tax, trade, energy, labor-management legislation, and various other construction procurement related issues.

Sean Robertson is ACCA's Vice President of Membership, Advocacy and Events. He oversees all aspects of ACCA's membership programs, government affairs, advocacy, and events. By refocusing ACCA programs on the needs of member contractors, he reversed a longtime decline in membership, growing it by 25 percent.

He has two decades of experience developing advocacy and member engagement programs for prominent associations like Alzheimer’s Association and Land Trust Alliance. As a lifelong conservationist, he is particularly passionate about promoting incentives for quality installation of HVAC systems, which provides a more cost-effective pathway to energy efficiency, while bringing new revenue opportunities for quality contractors.
