Take the Risk Out of New Project Delivery Methods

ON DEMAND THROUGH MAY 17, 2023

Duration:60 minutes

Abstract:

The lack of collaboration between the designer and contractor has driven the industry from the traditional design-bid-build approach to alternative delivery methods. These new methods have reduced unexpected change orders, improved project delivery time, increased client satisfaction and established a relationship between designer and contractor.

However, not everything is as easy as it seems. Organizations have had to change how they have traditionally executed their projects, which has led to analysis and change of existing tools, business process and program management. This is the journey Kiewit finds itself on today and is currently adding standardization and process to alternative design method projects to fully complete its project controls integration.

In this webinar, join InEight and Kiewit as they discuss:

  • Problems the new delivery methods introduced
  • The value of standardizing tools, process and program management
  • Project controls integration
  • Challenges you can expect to face and how to overcome them

A civil engineer, Nidhi has a master’s degree in construction management from Texas A&M University and has more than 15 years of experience in the engineering, construction, and IT industry.

Her futuristic vision, data-driven personality and knowledge of engineering, construction and software has led to the development of several tools that impact productivity and profit. Most of these tools started as proof of concepts for a project, but were then implemented across multiple projects, markets, groups, companies and the industry at large.

Nidhi’s expertise and experience with implementation of these tools across different markets was key, as she steered the development of InEight’s Design Quantity Forecasting and Design Engineering modules, as the business sponsor.
