Proficient in adult day services and senior independent living, she is VP of the Board for the New York State Adult Day Service Association. Achieved her master's degree in Health Promotion & Wellness Management from Springfield College, MA, and her bachelor's degree in behavioral psychology from Binghamton University, NY. She lives north of Manhattan in New Paltz NY, married with two children.
Brandi Barnette

Brandi Barnette is the director at Mountain Empire Older Citizens Inc. for the AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent program. Barnette brings a diverse background of intergenerational experience, having served as a volunteer coordinator for a domestic violence/sexual violence safe house, in higher education as a high school career coach and college success coach, and recently a long-term care and rehabilitation facility as a social worker, before joining MEOC. She has always carried a passion for geriatrics and has a passion for helping others. The goal of the foster grandparent program is to connect the generations by providing volunteer service to improve our community through meaningful relationships with special or exceptional needs children. Volunteers engage 15-40 hours per week tutoring or mentoring children and providing companionship in one-on-one settings in area pre-Ks, elementary schools, day cares and Head Start Programs. Mary Arthur
Dementia Care Coordinator

Mary Arthur is the dementia care coordinator at Rappahannock Westminster Canterbury. She is a certified dementia practitioner, has attained an expertise level of dementia care trainer, and is a certified consultant through Teepa Snow’s organization, the Positive Approach to Care. Arthur is a community educator and support group facilitator for the Alzheimer’s Association. She was awarded the 2019 Power of Purpose award from LeadingAge and uses her voice as an Alzheimer advocate, pushing local and state legislators to pass laws that will help caregivers and those living with dementia. She successfully implemented an engagement technology program resulting in a 76% decrease in antipsychotic drug use, among other benefits. Arthur will share tips and tricks that can be used today to enhance engagement and connectedness in senior living communities.
John F. Derr

John F. Derr, RPh, FASCP, has worked in healthcare at the “C level” for almost 60 yrs. He held leadership positions at Squibb Siemens USA, (Tenet) International and Kyocera’s USA Orthopedics. In long-term post-acute care, among other positions, he served as executive vice president for American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living and SVP/CIO of Golden Living. He also served on the federal Advisory HIT Standards Committee, was chair of HIMSS LTPAC, and chair of NASL IT. He co-founded LTPAC Health IT Collaborative in 2005 and co-authored: Introduction Health Information Technology in LTPAC Settings. In 2006, he received the Distinguished Purdue Alumnus Award from the Purdue University College of Pharmacy.

Maria Moen is a highly accomplished healthcare IT strategy and operations executive, speaker and published author, industry trailblazer and innovator, CMS Innovation grant leader, long-term post-acute healthcare expert and technology product expert with 25+ years of experience. She is a member of the HIMSS LTPAC and Interoperability and HIE Committees, leads the HL7 PACIO Advance Directive Interoperability in FHIR Project, sits on the AALNA Advisory Council, is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Nashville Technology Council, and is a past NASL board member and IT committee co-chair. She is a passionate advocate for the use of health information technology to improve the quality of care for the consumer, the providers who support and care for them, and our healthcare system as a whole.
Bob Latz, PT, DPT, CHCIO

Robert “Bob” Latz, PT, DPT, CHCIO is the Chair of the HIMSS LTPAC Committee, a Board Member of the National Association for the Support of Long Term Care (NASL), a member of the CHIME Policy Steering Committee, and the American Physical Therapy (APTA) PAC Workgroup and the President of the APTA Health Policy Section Technology Special Interest Group. He is a member of the LTPAC HIT Collaborative and the LTPAC CIO Consortium.
In all of these roles, he seeks to make a positive impact on health and wellness thru improved data sharing across the entire spectrum of care.
Dr. Latz is the Chief Information Officer for Trinity Rehabilitation Services, which improves human function by providing contracted therapy services in Post-Acute Care (PAC) settings. And, he is the only Physical Therapist with the HealthCare CIO certification from CHIME (College of Health Information Management Executives).
