
Dr. Katie Clow DVM, PhD

Dr. Katie Clow currently holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Population Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College. Her research focuses on the ecology and epidemiology of zoonotic and vector-borne diseases. She is passionate about One Health and EcoHealth and strives to make a positive difference in the health of animals, humans and the environment.

Dr. Scott Stevenson DVM, MSc
Thousand Island Veterinary Services
Dr. Scott Stevenson practices in Gananoque, Ontario. Scott’s interest in parasitology began while investigating blacklegged ticks and Lyme disease in the Thousand Islands during veterinary school. He carries this passion with him today, regularly speaking to veterinarians and clinic staff across Canada and the USA about expanding tick populations and the increasing threat of tick-borne illnesses to both pets and humans.

Dr. Michael Yabsley MS, PhD, FRES
University of Georgia
Dr. Yabsley is an Associate Professor of Wildlife Diseases at the College of Veterinary Medicine and the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, University of Georgia, where he is active in teaching parasitology, wildlife diseases, and wildlife techniques. He manages a diverse research program that focuses on the natural history of zoonotic parasites and wildlife diseases. He earned his bachelor and masters degrees from Clemson University and a PhD in Veterinary Parasitology from the University of Georgia. Since 2000, Dr. Yabsley has authored or coauthored over 150 publications on animal and human parasites and other pathogens. He is also passionate about teaching and mentoring he has been recognized with three teaching and mentoring awards.
