Nurses: Inspire, Innovate, and Influence

Abstract:

The theme for National Nurses Week 2018, “Nurses: Inspire, Innovate, Influence,” captures the impact of nursing initiatives on healthcare and reinforces efforts surrounding advocacy. Nurses’ diverse roles and great numbers position them to identify and help solve many public health problems. Nurses can influence practices and policies at our own facilities as well as at the community, state, and national levels.

We’ve used our collective voice and expertise in the past to advance the health of our nation. Today, we’re passionate about tackling issues such as the opioid crisis, gun violence, human trafficking, and end-of-life care. Heading into the future, nurses can truly heal the nation.
