Abstract:
Hardness testing is a useful tool for the evaluation of materials, quality control of manufacturing processes, and for research and development work. During hardness testing, it is important to keep the parameters influencing the test under control to obtain accurate and repeatable reading. In this webinar, attendees will learn about:
- Test methods, including Vickers, Knoop, Rockwell, and Brinell
- Parameters influencing hardness test results, including indent spacing and level of surface preparation
- Common applications of hardness testing, including case hardness depth, Jominy testing, hardness mapping, and more!
