Abstract:
In April 2016, CMS finalized the Medicaid Managed Care Final Rule which issued updated guidance on encounter data submissions which has significant operational impacts for managed care organizations (MCOs).
With the threat of losing federal payments, State Medicaid Agencies are more actively monitoring and auditing MCOs on their encounter data quality and timeliness; and hefty penalties have been handed out to organizations that fail to comply with requirements.
This webinar addresses some of the key challenges faced by MCOs collecting and reporting encounter data. TransUnion will offer best practice advice based on our 25 years operational experience partnering with clients to help them improve encounter data throughput and quality.
