Jacob joined Lavaca in 2018 and is a Portfolio Manager with the firm. Prior to joining Lavaca he served in financial commodity sales and trading roles with banks Societe Generale and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group. Previously, he held similar positions with BP, Reliant Energy and Shell Trading. Jacob has over 20 years derivative investment experience in both exchange traded and complex OTC option structures. Jacob holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Rice University.
Scott Phillips

Scott founded Lavaca Capital in 2014 and oversees all the firm’s operations, with a special focus on Portfolio Management. Prior to founding Lavaca Capital, he oversaw the investments of a family office with a focus on derivative investments and has over 15 years of investment management experience. Scott began his career in the Houston Audit Practice of KPMG and is a licensed CPA. Scott is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with undergraduate & graduate degrees in Accounting and Finance.
Rohan Reddy, CFA

Rohan joined Global X in 2015. He works within the firm’s research team, providing insights into the financial markets and Global X’s unique range of ETFs, including Energy Infrastructure, Preferreds, Covered Calls, & Dividend strategies. Rohan is also a member of the firm’s Portfolio Construction Committee (PCC), providing model portfolio solutions to investors. He is a frequent contributor to the Global X blog. Rohan earned his BA in Economics from New York University.
Rick Rosenthal

Rick Rosenthal is a Director of Derivatives Sales - Americas Buyside at Cboe Global Markets, Inc. (Cboe). In this role, Rosenthal actively promotes the use of Cboe’s proprietary index products to institutional market participants. He also educates market participants on the utility of Cboe’s proprietary index listed derivatives and works with third-party index providers to support index adoption. Rosenthal was previously Head of Listed Equity Derivatives for Dean Witter and Cargill Investor Services, supporting institutional clients on various Chicago exchange floors, as well as owning a FINRA Broker-Dealer. He was a FINRA broker for more than 30 years, during which he held Series 3, 4, 7, 24, 55, 63, and 66 licenses. Rosenthal holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Iowa.

Catherine joined FTSE Russell in 2010 and is responsible for product management of market cap weighted equity indexes, including the FTSE Global Equity Index Series (FTSE GEIS), Russell US Indexes and Russell/Nomura Japan Equity Indexes. Catherine also covers equity index products such as Style, Stability, and FTSE EPRA Nareit and FTSE Nareit real estate index series. Catherine has 18 years of financial services industry experience. Prior to joining FTSE Russell, Catherine spent six years in product management and development roles at Franklin Templeton Investments, covering equity and fixed income fund products distributed globally. Catherine earned three university degrees: (1) M.A. Organizational Leadership, Gonzaga University, (2) M.S. Management, Notre Dame de Namur University, and (3) B.A. Political Science, University of California, Berkeley.
Matt Moran

Matt Moran is Head of Index Insights at Cboe Global Markets. In this role, Moran is focused on the exchange's educational efforts for pension funds, Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), mutual funds, and other institutional investors. He has traveled to more than 100 cities worldwide to educate investors and deliver financial presentations. Prior to joining Cboe, Moran served as Trust Counsel at Harris Bank and Vice President at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He is an associate editor of The Journal of Beta Investment Strategies and has written articles for several financial publications, including The Journal of Trading and The Journal of Alternative Investments. Moran holds MBA and JD degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
