 Prof. Luigi Boni Prof. Luigi Boni, is the Chief of the Department of Surgery at the IRCCS - Ca' Granda – Policlinico Hospital and full professor of surgery at the University of Milan.
Once completed his training in surgical oncology at the Department of Surgery of the University of Insubria in Varese (Italy), he focused his interest in minimally invasive surgery, moving to Dundee (Scotland) where he worked with Sir Alfred Cuschieri for more than 3 years.
Back to Italy, he became Associate Professor of Surgery and he founded and directed for more than 10 years the Minimally Invasive Surgery Research Centre in Varese.
He was visiting professor at the University of Pisa (Italy), Dundee (UK), Imperial College of London (UK).
He published so far more than 200 scientific articles on different topics in peer reviewed, indexed journals and more than 20 chapters in surgical books.
He is active member of several surgical societies, especially the European Association of
Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) where he was member of the Journal and Publications Committee and he is currently member of the Technology committee.
He is member of several editorial boards and in particularly since few years he serves as subject editor for Surgical Endoscopy.
He won several awards and prices and in particular best video award at the world congress of endoscopic surgery and at the national congress of the Italian society of surgery.
He is in the faculty of several well-known centers such as the IRCAD in Strasburg , the Cuschieri Skill Centre in Dundee, the European Surgical Institute in Hamburg and many more.
Prof Boni is also pioneer in specific fields of laparoscopic surgery such as single port, fluorescence guided surgery, minilaparoscopy as well as TA-TME. In this field he was one of the faculty of the first course on Thiel Embalmed Cadaver Course held in at the Cuschieri Skill Center in Dundee in May 2014 and a second cadaveric course in February 2016.
 Dr. Gianandrea Baldazzi Dr Gianandrea Baldazzi is the Chief of the Complex Operating Unit of General and Emergency Surgery of the New Hospital of Legnano of the ASST Ovest Milanese. He specializes in emergency surgery and minimally invasive surgery. For 10 years he directed the Department of minimally invasive and Robotic General Surgery of the Polyclinic of Abano Terme and for 4 years the Complex Operating Unit of General Surgery of the ASST North Milan. He focused his interest in minimally invasive surgery, contributing to the development of technological innovations, such as single port surgery, fluorescence guided surgery, robotic surgery, 3D surgery.
Dr. Baldazzi was for 7 years a member of the Italian Society of New Technologies (SICE), from 2015 to 2018 President of the Italian Society of Private-Accredited Hospitality (SICOP), President of the SICOP National Congress in 2013, President of the SICE National Congress in 2017 together with Prof. Boni, President of the ACOI National Congress (National Association of Hospital Surgeons) in 2021. He is currently a member of the National Executive Council of the ACOI and of the ACOI Scientific Committee. He is the author of over 50 publications in national and international journals, speaker at over 150 national and international conferences and live operator at over 50 events. He was director of several residential courses, attended by over 100 expert surgeons, for learning advanced minimally invasive surgery in the colorectal, digestive, and wall surgery fields. He is the scientific director of a master's degree in the development of colorectal mini-invasive surgery and the implementation of ERAS programs. He is a member of the School of minimally invasive Surgery of the SIC (Italian Society of Surgery) and member of the editorial board of the Journal of the Italian Association of Surgeons
