Abstract:
An estimated 1 billion people worldwide do not have basic identification credentials like passports or birth certificates, a problem the UN hopes to solve by 2030. National digital ID initiatives are government-administered programs to provide a digital identity to residents, often using biometric data for authentication. 1In the absence of consistent identity credentials or national digital IDs, businesses need to find alternative means for effective identity proofing. In turn, this will make it easier to authenticate consumers, open untapped areas of economic opportunity and securely offer streamlined ‘friction-right’ digital services.
In this webinar we’ll discuss:
- Common perceptions amongst global executives around biometrics and national digital ID programs
- How privacy regulations are affecting businesses’ ability to identify consumers within differing regions
- Best in class standards for identity proofing and providing exceptional consumer experiences
