ACGME Rural Track Program Designation: Type 2

Start Date:5/5/2022

Start Time:3:00 PM CDT

Duration:60 minutes

Abstract:

In 2019, the ACGME Board of Directors approved an accreditation framework for medically underserved areas and populations (MUA/P). The framework goal is to expand GME into rural and underserved areas and ultimately enhance access to and availability of healthcare in MUA/Ps, consistent with the ACGME’s mission to improve health care and population health. In this webinar, the ACGME’s Director of MUA/P and GME will provide an overview of this framework and the ACGME Rural Track Program (RTP) designation, including a new option that will be available in May for already-accredited programs seeking to expand by adding a new rural track.
