Andrew Alden, CFA, is head of quantitative research for WeatherStorm Capital. He led the quantitative development of PPTY’s underlying index, PPTYX. Before PPTY, Alden played a key role in developing Vident’s other indexes. He also serves on Vident’s Investor Oversight committee. Alden has a BCom in economics and finance from University of Cape Town, South Africa, and a master’s in financial engineering from University of California, Berkeley.

He has a BS/BA in accounting from the Robert Morris University School of Business.

Before PPTY, Stoops worked in the Merchant Banking division of Goldman Sachs, where he focused on real estate and nonperforming loan acquisitions across Europe. He has a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School of Business and a B.A. in international studies from the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.
