
Chris Villavarayan
Chief Executive Officer and President
Meritor
Chris Villavarayan is chief executive officer and president of Meritor, Inc.
and a member of its Board of Directors, effective March 2021.
Prior to serving as CEO, he was executive vice president and chief
operating officer with oversight of the company’s global operations for
both business segments – Global Truck and Aftermarket & Industrial.
Before that, he was senior vice president and president of Global Truck,
responsible for Meritor’s commercial truck business in all regions: North
and South America, Europe, India, Australia, China, Japan and the ASEAN.
Villavarayan also served as vice president of Global Manufacturing and
Supply Chain Management during which time he was responsible for
managing global manufacturing operations, increasing results-based lean
initiatives, improving the supply chain and logistics network and focusing
on standardization and process excellence.
He was also managing director for Meritor’s operations in India, where
he lived for two years. During that time, he led Meritor Heavy Vehicle
Systems (India) Ltd., a joint venture with the Kalyani Group in Mysore,
India. Villavarayan joined Meritor June 2000.
Villavarayan holds a Bachelor of Science in engineering from McMaster
University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
He is also a director on the Heavy Duty Manufacturer Association’s
Board of Governors and a director on the board of Focus: HOPE, a
Detroit-based, nationally renowned civil and human rights organization.

Carl Anderson
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Meritor
Carl Anderson is senior vice president and chief financial officer of Meritor,
Inc. He serves as a member of the company’s Executive Committee and
leads the development and execution of the company’s global long-term
financial strategy, which includes driving profitable growth, generating
sustainable cash flow and allocating capital to maximize value creation.
In addition to his overall responsibility for Finance, Anderson also
oversees Corporate Strategy and Information Systems.
Previously, he was Meritor’s group vice president of Finance with
responsibility for External Reporting, Investor Relations, Mergers and
Acquisitions, Operational Finance, Shared Services, Tax and Treasury.
Anderson joined Meritor in 2006 as the director of capital markets.
Before joining Meritor, he held various finance and treasury roles at First
Chicago NBD Bank and GMAC for more than 10 years.
Anderson earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Michigan State
University and holds a Master of Business Administration from Wayne
State University.

John Bennett
Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Meritor
John Bennett is vice president and chief technology officer for Meritor,
Inc. In this role, he is responsible for establishing the company’s advanced
technology portfolio and leading core engineering development excellence.
Previously, Bennett was general manager of Global Product Strategy,
responsible for building the global product strategy and executing new
product programs that deliver value to global customers.
Before that, he was director of OEM Sales and product line director for
Specialty and Defense.
Bennett began working at Meritor in 1992 and held various roles,
including design engineer and engineering supervisor. He worked on axles,
brakes and transfer cases in the Truck, Specialty and Defense segments.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from
the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in mechanical
engineering from Wayne State University. Bennett also holds a Master of
Business Administration from Michigan State University.
Bennett served on the board of directors for Meritor WABCO and
TransPower. He is a current board member of the Heavy Duty Advanced
Technology Council (HDATC).
