The Shape of EHS to Come: Lessons from the Pandemic

START DATE:11/18/2021

Start Time:2:00 PM EST

Duration:60 minutes

Abstract:

The global COVID-19 pandemic has challenged the way employers approach worker health and safety. Increased use of disinfectants, the implementation of new online training programs, and advanced technologies to collect risk assessments virtually, have forced employers to modify their EHS programs and implement new policies.

To stay on track, EHS professionals have pivoted to provide workers with a wide range of tools to get their jobs done safely and from afar, and maintain the flexibility needed to adapt to changing times. During this 60-minute webinar, we’ll discuss how machine learning helps manage ergonomics and industrial hygiene processes, how learning management systems help managers train and track employee training, how software manages permit-to-work, contractor and visitor management programs, and much more.

  • How to ensure your safety data sheet library (SDS) and chemical inventory stay up-to-date as new chemicals enter the workplace, even if you’re working remotely, and how to provide access to SDSs for your entire workforce
  • Understanding the broader lessons of the pandemic about the “future of work,” including the challenges of multi-employer worksites and contractor safety, and the reasons why EHS professionals need safety management practices that are efficient and agile.
  • Learning how modern EHS software can help keep you connected with your workers, simplify key safety management tasks and provide the data needed for smarter safety management.
