
Carolyn Stegon

Ms. Stegon has been with AECOM for 17 years. She has a BS and MS in Structural Engineering and is a licensed Civil PE. Ms. Stegon manages a Digital Design Division within AECOM that has successfully launched work flows for clients using Bluebeam Studio and Plan Grid for project delivery success.
She has changed the culture and transformed the industry by introducing and training projects teams to a new digital and efficient design review process. In 2018, the AECOM team implemented electronic plan review using Bluebeam Studio at DSA! The largest change at the Division in the past 100 years.
She is currently working with large government and state agencies including the Division of the State Architect (DSA), Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), the Department of General Services (DGS), the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and various education bond programs.
She creates customized standards and procedures tailored for client’s specific needs which have helped clients and consultants reach efficiency in their project submittals. She trains clients and consultants to adapt to new innovative, cost saving, and time-saving technological solutions in the AEC industry.

Kemarr L. Brown

Mrs. Brown joined the City of Miami in 2015 where she was the Business Analyst Manager in the Department of Innovation & Technology. In this capacity Mrs. Brown and members of the Business Analyst team partnered with all business departments throughout the City of Miami to identify areas for process improvement that could benefit from utilizing technology solutions. In this capacity, Mrs. Brown led the implementation of eight citywide initiatives over the course of a year and a half.
As the Electronic Plans Review Enterprise Program Manager for the City of Miami, Mrs. Brown led the citywide implementation of ePlan for six city departments. Those departments included Building, Planning, Zoning, Resilience and Public Works and Fire Rescue and the Department of Innovation & Technology Department.
Prior to joining the City of Miami, Mrs. Brown has over 12 years of professional experience in executing and implementing digital transformation strategies for medium to large sized organizations in the areas of process design, process reengineering and improving pipeline productivity.
Mrs. Brown has a Master of Law in Intercultural Human Rights Law and Bachelor in Political Science from St. Thomas University. Additionally, Mrs. Brown acquired a Masters in International Administration (MAIA) from the University of Miami and most recently completed required coursework for Project Management Professional certification.

Asael Ace Marrero

Mr. Marrero has over 14 years of professional leadership in government administration and over 20 years of experience in the architecture / engineering, construction and permitting field. Mr. Marrero is a Florida Registered Architect, Interior Designer, ICC Inspector / Examiner, and served honorably in the U.S. ARMY Reserves.
Mr. Marrero joined the City of Miami Building Department in 2017 as the Assistant Director for Building Services and is responsible for the supervision of Building, Quality Control, Elevators, Flood Plain, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical Divisions. The City of Miami Building Department is responsible for processing an average of 44,000 Construction Permits and 115,000 Construction inspections per year.
Prior to joining the City of Miami, Mr. Marrero served as the Miami-Dade County Division Director for Design and Construction Services, of the Internal Services Department. In this capacity, Mr. Marrero was responsible for the planning, design and construction of capital improvements including major new building and renovation projects and managed an operating budget of $36 million, a capital construction budget totaling over $400 million, and over 60 employees.
Mr. Marrero has a B.A. in Architecture from Florida Atlantic University and a B.A. in Architectural Studies from Florida International University. He is a member of the American Institute of architects.
