Since 1998, Rick Deans has worked with InEight customers in more than 35 countries to help identify innovative solutions that address their biggest project management pain points. As executive vice president of industry engagement, Rick leads InEight’s efforts to engage with its most strategic customers through the Industry Advisory Group (IAG).
Rick works with IAG member companies to evaluate InEight solutions before they are put to work on projects and also to identify industry best practices. Rick is passionate about facilitating strong partnerships across the industry and helping build awareness of InEight solutions.
An engaging public speaker, he leads workshops on the value of InEight’s product portfolio and is active in many industry associations, including the Associated General Contractors of America and the Construction Industry Institute.
Prior to InEight, Rick advised software companies on talent acquisition and retention. Rick holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from UCLA.
Pranay Enamela

Pranay has spent the last six years working on construction projects in several industries such as mining, power, oil and gas, and heavy civil in the U.S. as a project engineer. With a degree in electrical engineering, he brings extensive engineering and construction experience developed while working with multiple Fortune 500 companies. Starting his career with TIC-The Industrial Company, a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, Pranay was quickly identified as a lead for the implementation of InEight’s estimating and project controls systems. From there, he became a key super user of the products for both TIC and Kiewit. After spending time out in the field with Shimmick, Pranay is now a part of an exceptional team of consultants, delivering a new approach to capital projects. Centered around a simple yet robust implementation methodology, Pranay proudly provides best-in-class software products to diverse and growing audiences.
Morgan Smith
Product Owner
InEight
Morgan Smith, a Product Owner for Control, began her career as a Field Engineer after receiving her Civil Engineering degree on the west coast of Canada. While she worked through various roles of Project Engineering, Contract Admin, and Estimating, her interest in the untapped potential to solve problems with software started to grow. She pivoted her career to bring her industry background into the technology sector, where she’s been involved in creating the InEight Suite set of applications for the last five years.

Derrick has 22 years of experience as a journalist, spending the past 15 with Food Engineering’s parent company, BNP Media. He was previously the editor of Environmental Design+Construction and Sustainable Facility magazines and spent the past few years as content manager for BNP Media’s Packaging Group before joining Food Engineering.
