Educating the Next Generation of Food System Leaders

On Demand Until November 18, 2022

Duration:60 minutes

The food system is currently facing incredible challenges including mitigating food waste, rising food supply chain and safety issues, and building the capacity to feed nearly 10 billion people by the year 2050. Challenges of this magnitude can only be tackled by transforming the food system and the way we educate the people who lead it. The questions are, how do we prepare future food system leaders to drive change and implement solutions effectively? What is the role of food safety professionals and how do we assure they receive the education to be successful?

After participating in this webinar, participants will be able to:
  • Describe the education needs of the next generation of food system leaders
  • Explain there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to educating food systems leaders
  • Evaluate the continuum of food systems training opportunities
  • Promote the value of an integrated approach to food systems education
