John Alfonso is a partner in CohnReznick's New York office and the leader of the firm’s Not-for-Profit & Education practice. With over 30 years of experience providing advisory, assurance, and tax services, he has dedicated his career to helping make not-for-profit organizations’ missions possible.
As the leader of CohnReznick’s Not-for-Profit & Education Industry practice, which works with over 1,700 organizations nationwide, John ensures that the Firm’s not-for-profit professionals possess the experience and resources necessary to deliver the timely, high-quality, and cost-effective services that are the hallmarks of CohnReznick. Furthermore, John is committed to keeping the Firm’s clients, contacts, and personnel informed about best practices and relevant industry developments. He is a frequent panelist, moderator, and lecturer on not-for-profit accounting standards, board governance, risk management, and information technology.
Giving back to the community, John serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of the Directors of the American Cancer Society. A volunteer for nearly 30 years, he has held leadership positions at every level of the organization including service on the Board of Directors since 2011. In addition, John has served as Chair of the Audit and Finance committees. In 2014, John received the American Cancer Society’s St. George National Award.
John also serves as Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He has been a board member since 2010 and currently serves on the Executive Committee.

Randy Kaufman is a Partner in the New York office, focusing on strategic growth and client relationship management.
Prior to Cerity Partners, Randy was a Senior Vice President with EMM Wealth. Her expertise includes estate and income tax planning, pre-deal planning, multigenerational issues, impact investing, and philanthropy. Previously, she worked at Evercore Wealth Management as a wealth advisor, and at Federal Street Advisors, where she managed the firm’s family office services. Randy also spent seven years at LongVue Advisors, a multi-family office that she co-founded, and six years with Fleet Bank and its predecessor, BankBoston. She was the founder and managing director of the Wealth Strategies Group in Fleet Bank’s Private Client Group.
Before becoming a wealth adviser in 1998, Randy held various investment banking and tax structuring positions at J.P. Morgan and practiced corporate tax law at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. She has been a featured speaker over the years on numerous topics, including behavioral finance and philanthropy, the integration of business and personal issues, and estate planning strategies.
Randy received her Bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago.

In this role, he provides financial advisory and litigation support services specializing in the areas of bankruptcy, debt restructuring, and investigative and forensic accounting. Kevin provides financial and economic analysis of insolvent and troubled companies, provides advice in turnaround and crisis situations, counsels purchasers in the acquisition of assets within the bankruptcy arena, and provides expert advice to parties in both civil and criminal litigation matters. He has more than 20 years of accounting and financial experience in both national and regional public accounting firms and in the private sector.
