Asmuth joined SHINE as the company’s president in September 2015 and served in the additional role of a chief financial officer from 2018 to 2021. In 2021, he was appointed chief strategy officer while retaining his responsibilities as SHINE’s president. Prior to SHINE, he took multiple venture-capital-backed companies from concept to commercialization to profitability using lean startup, customer-focused product development techniques.

Holds FRCPath in Immunology (by examination) from Royal College of Pathologists and registered on the General Medical Council specialist register of Clinical Immunologists.

Cameron Owen is one of 3 co-founders of rBIO, Co. and currently serves as the Company’s CEO. With a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Cam is well-versed in a range of genetic, chemistry, and laboratory techniques and performed all of the initial bench-side testing at the University of Nevada-Reno. He has also received a Masters degree in Health Care Management from Johns Hopkins and is currently responsible for both the day-to-day operations and setting the strategic vision of the Company.

As president of the Pharma & Biopharma Outsourcing Association, I am responsible for developing and advancing the agenda of our member companies in the regulatory, legislative and general business areas. This involves organizing and communicating with members and other industry participants, interacting and negotiating with FDA and other regulatory agencies, lobbying Congress and working with federal agencies, building committees and working groups in a variety of areas, and developing cross-platform programs with other trade associations. I have organized workshops and conferences for our members, written and delivered presentations at FDA hearings and industry events, testified to Congressional subcommittees, conducted industry surveys, coordinated panels for our trade-show partners, developed the association's website, compiled the e-mail list for our weekly e-newsletter (which I also produce), marketed and recruited dozens of new member companies, composed press releases, and designed marketing materials. Among PBOA's signal achievements are successfully renegotiating a multibillion-dollar user fee agreement with terms more favorable to the CMO/CDMO sector, launching the industry's first CMO/CDMO-only conference, and becoming the point of contact for regulators seeking to learn more about this industry.

Currently working as a Reporter across Bio-Pharma Reporter and Outsourcing Pharma, Isabel joined William Reed in May 2023 from Retail Gazette. She has extensive experience in digital journalism, writing and editing daily news stories, long-form articles, social media copy and interviewing high-profile industry experts.

Liza has been a journalist for 20 years and has worked on a full range of publications including national newspapers, magazines, regional press, public relations and more recently business media. Currently managing our pharma titles as Senior Editor, Liza has also written for Nutraingredients and has previously worked as a Senior Editor in the biotechnology industry. Liza studied adult nursing at City University in London and has a keen interest in the health sciences. She has a particular interest in cancer research, the microbiome, and the development of cures for degenerative diseases. She started her journalism career by joining an evening class while she was nursing. Finding her true calling, she then went on to do the post-graduate diploma in print journalism before qualifying as a senior journalist in 2007.
