
DeLonda Bonasera

ACGME
DeLonda Bonasera is the Awards Program Director for the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). She came to the ACGME in 2008 with several years of administrative and project management experience in a variety of industries including funds management, civil engineering, real estate development, and accounting. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois with a double major in French and Marketing, and received a diploma from La Sorbonne University in Paris, France for completing a yearlong study abroad program. Additionally, she has served the ACGME in a variety of roles external to her regular role, including the ACGME’s initial Diversity Task Force, the Employee Forum as the lead of the Internal Events Work Group, co-lead of the Employee Well-being Group and member of the newly launched Buddy Program. Ms. Bonasera is a recipient of the Smart Events International Amazing Assistant 2021 Award.

Karen McCausland
Manager of GME Programs
Yale New Haven Medical Center
Karen McCausland, MBA, C-TAGME is the Manager of the GME Programs for the Yale New Haven Medical Center in New Haven, CT. Starting in 2002, she became the Institutional Coordinator and the Administrative Educational Coordinator for Yale’s central GME Office. In 2016, she was promoted to Manager, GME Programs. Prior to working in a centralized GME Office, Karen was the program coordinator for an Internal Medicine residency program at the Hospital of Saint Raphael, a smaller community hospital in New Haven. Ms. McCausland received her BA in History with a minor in English Literature from Dickinson College, in Carlisle PA, and an MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from the University of New Haven. She was invited to present at the ACGME Educational Conference in 2009 (before there was a Coordinator Forum) and gave two talks: “Surviving the Institutional Site Visit” and “Keeping the GME Office Involved”. She has also co-authored a poster entitled, “Distilling Program’s Self-Study Data for GMEC Oversight: One Institution’s Process” for the 2016 AAMC’s Group on Resident Affairs Meeting. Most recently presenting at the 2023 ACGME Program Coordinator Forum. She presents yearly at the GME retreat for all Yale GME Program Directors and Coordinators. She participates in AHME’s Council of Institutional Leaders (COIL) and recently became a member of the National Society of Academic Medical Administrators (NSAMA). She sits on the Resident Wellness Committee and assists with both the Diversity and Minority House Staff Organizations at Yale. She enjoys working with and mentoring the residents, fellows, coordinators, and directors through all aspects of graduate medical education. Ms. McCausland was awarded the ACGME Institutional Coordinator Excellence Award in 2012.

LaToya Wright
GME Institutional Administrator, Manager of Education Programs for the Department of Radiology
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center
LaToya Wright, BBA, C-TAGME, is the Manager of Education Programs for the Department of Radiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. With a distinguished career in graduate medical education (GME), LaToya has played pivotal roles in various educational programs.
Over a year ago, she successfully transitioned from the role of Institutional Administrator in the GME Office, bringing with her more than 11 years of experience as the Program Coordinator for the Radiology-Diagnostic Residency program and the Radiology-Diagnostic Clinical Scientist Research Track.
At UT Southwestern, LaToya actively contributes to key committees, including the Program Coordinator Advisory Council Milestones and Mentoring Committee, the Complement and Addition to Programs (CAP), and the Non-Standard Training (NST) GMEC subcommittees.
Her commitment to professional development is evident through her involvement with the Association of Program Coordinators in Radiology (APCR). LaToya served as the Chair for the APCR Archives Committee and was a member of the APCR Board of Directors. In 2023, she rejoined the APCR, currently serving as a Board Alternate and contributing to the Awards Committee and Scholarship Committee. She is also a member of the Association for Hospital Medical Education (AHME) Council of Program Administrators and Coordinators (COPAC) and Council of Institutional Leaders (COIL) and a member of the National Society of Academic Medical Administrators (NSAMA).
LaToya has shared her expertise at prestigious conferences, including the ACGME, AHME Institute, and the Association of University Radiologists (AUR) conference. She co-authored two poster presentations that received the First Place Judges’ Choice Award at the AHME Institute.
Recognized for her outstanding contributions, LaToya was honored with the 2022 Debra L. Dooley GME Program Coordinator Excellence Award from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Currently, she serves a 3-year term on the ACGME Coordinator Advisory Group and holds the position of Coordinator Advisory Group Representative on the ACGME Awards Committee.
LaToya is deeply passionate about medical education and actively engages in mentoring initiatives, showcasing her commitment to the growth and success of others in the field.
