Abstract:
Whether at home, work or play, much of our lifetime is spent indoors, and our health is influenced by the environment created in these areas. Consumers demand a new generation of paints: water-based paints free from air pollutants, allergens and other hazardous substances. Regulations for VOCs within the United States are increasingly stringent, and suppliers and formulators must be prepared to meet this obstacle. Consumers may not have an in-depth knowledge of paint formulations or the related regulatory requirements and turn to ecolabels when choosing a paint for their space.
As a key supplier and leader in the paint industry, Clariant is excited to present an innovative VOC- and label-free multifunctional amine based on renewable feedstock. It is used as a:
- Neutralizer, compatibilizer and stabilizer in waterborne systems
- Ideal solution to complex water-based formulations
- Includes a performance profile superior to standard neutralizing agents like ammonia, caustic and aminomethyl-propanol
