Bruno Dupire Global Head of Quantitative Research, CTO Office Bloomberg Bruno Dupire is the Global Head of Quantitative Research, CTO Office at Bloomberg, which he joined in 2004. Prior to this assignment in New York, he has headed the Derivatives Research teams at Société Générale, Paribas Capital Markets and Nikko Financial Products where he was a Managing Director. He is best known for having pioneered the widely used Local Volatility model (simplest extension of the Black-Scholes-Merton model to fit all option prices) in 1993 and the Functional Itô Calculus (framework for path dependency) in 2009. He is a Fellow and Adjunct Professor at NYU and he is in the Risk magazine “Hall of Fame”. He is the recipient of the 2006 “Cutting edge research” award of Wilmott Magazine and of the Risk Magazine “Lifetime Achievement” award for 2008. He runs and organizes the Bloomberg Quant (BBQ) seminar, the largest monthly event of this kind.
Patrick Gaughan Americas Head of Buy-Side Sales Bloomberg Patrick Gaughan is the Head of Buy-side Enterprise Product Sales and Account Management for the Americas. He is responsible for developing and executing on the regional strategy for Bloomberg’s Enterprise solutions including Order Management, Research Management, Portfolio Analytics, and Risk.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Gaughan was based out of Bloomberg’s Hong Kong office and was the Head of Buy-side Enterprise Sales & Relationship Management for Asia-Pacific. In this role he focused on the regional Enterprise strategy for Bloomberg’s strategic buy-side accounts with a focus on business growth, retention, client engagement and service.
Patrick joined Bloomberg in 2015 from Eze Software Group where he spent 10 years across Boston, New York, and Hong Kong managing teams responsible for Business Development, Account Management, Implementation, and Client Services for their Order, Portfolio, and Execution Management Systems.
Mr. Gaughan earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from Bates College with research conducted at the School for Field Studies’ Center for Marine Resource Studies.
Allan Hadid Managing Partner, BTG Pactual Head, BTG Pactual Asset Management Allan Hadid is Managing Partner of BTG Pactual and Head of BTG Pactual Asset Management. He joined BTG Pactual in July 2014. Previously, he was CEO and partner at BRZ Investimentos. He was also a board member of PAR Corretora de Seguros. Before that, he was managing partner of GP Investimentos and head of IR from 2006 to 2010. From 2002 to 2006, Hadid was CIO of a Brazilian Family office and from 1998 to 2002 he managed the proprietary portfolio of the partners of Banco Matrix. Allan has a degree in Economics from PUC-Rio.
Bruno Funchal CEO Bradesco Asset Management Bruno Funchal joined Bradesco Asset as CEO in May 2022. Previously, the executive held positions as Special Secretary for the Treasury and Budget, Secretary for the National Treasury and Secretary of Finance of Espírito Santo. He was also a member of the National Monetary Council in 2021.
Economist from Universidade Federal Fluminense, Bruno holds a PhD in Economics from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV-RJ), with a postdoctoral degree from the National Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA).
Denisio Liberato CEO BB Asset Management Doctor and Master in Economics from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), with a degree in Economics from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV-MG), Denísio Liberato took over on July 6, 2023, the position of CEO of BB Asset Management, the largest asset manager Brazilian investment funds.
Since 2021, the executive has been a Full Member of the Board of Directors of Neoenergia, where he also serves on the Sustainability Committee.
At BB, where he started his career in 2000, the executive served on the Finance Board (Difin), on the International Board (Dirin) and on the Private Banking Unit (UPB). As of 2013, Denísio was transferred to the Federal Government, for three years, to work in the Secretary of Economic Policy of the Ministry of Finance. On his return to Banco do Brasil, he worked between 2015 and 2016 in the Governance Department (Direg) and, from 2017, in the Capital Markets Department (Dimec).
In June 2020, the executive was appointed by BB as Director of Participations at Previ, a supplementary pension fund for Banco do Brasil employees, a role he held until June 2022, when he took over as Director of Investments at the same institution.
In December 2022, he was elected to the Board of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) initiative, being the only representative from Latin America.
Denísio also works as a professor in the executive courses of the IDP in Brasilia, being a frequent member of strictu sensu postgraduate examination boards in ESG-related subjects at top academic institutions.
Jorge Larangeira CIO and Founding Partner Giant Steps Capital Jorge co-founded Giant Steps in 2012, currently the largest quant hedge fund manager in Brazil. Prior to that, he worked at JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, DrKW and UBS, where he was responsible for various EM derivatives books. At Giant Steps, he leads research in ML algorithms. Jorge holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from ITA and an MBA with a double major in Finance and Statistics from the Wharton School.
Felipe Nogueira, CFA Head of Buy-Side Solutions, Latin America Bloomberg Felipe Nogueira is in charge of the Buy-Side Enterprise Solutions division in Latin America, which includes Order Management, Portfolio Analytics, and Risk. During his thirteen years at Bloomberg, Felipe has served in various capacities, including Electronic Trading, Buy-Side Core Sales, and Sell-Side Core Sales. In the past eight years, Felipe has held positions of leadership.
Before joining Bloomberg, Felipe had six years of experience in the Brazilian Buy-Side industry.
Felipe is a CFA Charterholder and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo (Poli-USP).

Isadora Goes Portfolio Management Workflow Specialist, Americas Buy-Side Sales Bloomberg Isadora Goes is a portfolio management workflow specialist within the Americas Buy-Side Sales team at Bloomberg LP. Her career began as a portfolio analyst at GPS Investimentos before joining Bloomberg's Portfolio and Risk group in Sao Paulo in 2015. Her fixed income knowledge led to her relocation to NYC, where she spearheaded the support for firms transitioning from Barclays POINT to Bloomberg's PORT Enterprise and later joined the Buy-Side Enterprise Sales team, supporting asset managers and insurance firms utilizing Bloomberg's Order Management System (AIM) and its Portfolio and Risk solution. With a focus on integrated workflows between the two products, Isadora collaborates closely with internal product managers and clients to enhance Bloomberg's solutions within AIM's position management and Portfolio & Risk analytics domains. Isadora holds a degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-SP).
