Six New Changes to Improve Your Company's Electrical Safety

ON DEMAND UNTIL OCTOBER 14, 2022

Duration:60 minutes

Abstract:

NFPA 70E has some important changes in the 2021 edition, but not as many as prior years. Arc flash will be introduced relative to 70E. This standard has solid legal precedents to have it considered in the legal system. Expert witnesses often reference this standard in lawsuits. Most lawsuits settle with non-disclosure agreements making it difficult for the public to evaluate future best practices. By protecting the identity of lawsuit participants, several concepts can be legally introduced as examples of what really happened. These common mistakes can be used to improve your own safety program.

  • Changes in NFPA 70E
  • Arc flash 101 and 70E
  • The impact of 70E in the legal system
  • What is an electrical safety expert witness?
  • Examples of arc flash incidents
  • How to protect your people and your company
