Abstract:
"Train like you fight," has long been the motto of military training and simulation platforms whether they be for flight systems or urban warfare. That has never been more true than today as rapidly-deployable, secure simulated systems are being designed to help warfighters not only train like they fight, but where they fight. The most realistic training comes from using the same technology that is used in systems deployed in the real world. Yet there are challenges in creating a simulated, real-world scenario with distributed components from different suppliers using different simulation standards. This webcast describes how a standards-based communications framework can provide a foundation for modern warfare training. It uses a multi-level secure (MLS) data architecture to address the challenges of integrating a wide range of Modeling, Simulation, & Training (MS&T) systems, accelerating creation and delivery of impactful training simulations.
