Tom joined Tyson Foods in 2019 and is responsible for leading performance improvement in the company’s global Health, Safety & Security functions. His mission is to align Tyson’s systems and culture so the natural condition is controlled operations with lower risks for its team members. Tom currently leads Tyson Foods’ global response to the COVID-19 pandemic, developing systems, protocols and actionable measures to help protect 141,000 team members and mitigate impact to the world’s food supply chain.
Prior to joining Tyson, Tom was a Vice President of Executive Consulting at Dekra where he led a team of executive consultants working with leaders at Fortune 500 companies. He brought his clients proven solutions that protect individuals and lower costs across sectors. He has guided organizations around the world to stronger, more robust cultures, coached executives through demanding projects and trained leaders to enrich organizations.
Tom worked for more than 20 years at Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, where he was the global health and safety leader. He spent eight years at Shell Corp. developing and implementing the causal learning discipline across its Upstream Americas business. He also has supported projects with ExxonMobil and the Toronto Transit Commission.
Tom holds a degree in environmental management (magna cum laude) from the University of Maryland. He is a certified safety professional, security vulnerability analyst, and a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.

As the Chief Medical Officer of Matrix Medical Network, Dr. Daniel Castillo leads a national staff of nurse practitioners, physicians and other providers who deliver healthcare services to individuals in their homes, workplaces and through a fleet of mobile health clinics. Dr. Castillo is highly focused on helping employers keep their employees safe and their essential sites operating in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Having also earned his Masters of Business Administration, Dr. Castillo’s unique understanding of both clinical and business concerns has made him a leading voice in helping companies navigate a path forward.
