Abstract:
The Olga simulator currently features two distinct flow models: Standard Olga simulator flow model, commonly known as the ‘friction factor model’, and Olga high-definition flow model, which was introduced in 2015 and updated in the Olga 2025.1 release. We’ll explain the key differences between these two models and provide guidance on selecting the best one for your system’s specific conditions. Our flow experts will also provide an update on the development of a new flow model tailored to CO2 transportation systems—a result of the CO2 REACH joint industry project—as well as other new applications. Key topics include:
- Overview of the Olga simulator flow models: Friction factor and Olga high definition).
- Key updates in Olga 2025.1, including new high-definition closures and an oil-water dispersion model.
- Progress on the development of the CCUS applications flow model.
- Update on the Olga-S business model.
