
Chef Nancy Russman
Award Winning Chef
Chef Nancy Russman is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. She has been honored as the 1996 Chef of the Year by the Kentucky Chapter of the American Culinary Federation and the 1997 Sacred Heart Academy Alumna of the Year. The Chef Celebration Tour Honored her as the Louisville Chef Humanitarian and National Chef Humanitarian of 1998.
In 1999 she was nominated for a James Beard Humanitarian Award and in 2000, the Metro Louisville Bread for the World Steering Committee honored her with their Bread Award. Also in 2000 Women Chefs and Restaurateurs honored her with their Women Who Inspire Community Caring Award.
In 2001 she was honored by being selected as an Olympic Torchbearer. She received the 2003 Peace Medal from Trinity High School in Louisville and in 2004 she received the Ladies of Leadership award from the Kentucky Chapter of the Crohns and Colitis Foundation. In 2010 she received the True Spirit Award from the American Culinary Federation’s Chef and Child Foundation.
Chef Nancy has taught numerous cooking classes and worked as a professional chef for years. She is also a published author with her 2009 “Kids’ Club Cookbook”.
