Chair of the Collagen Stewardship Alliance, Asma was named NutraChampion by NutraIngredients in 2020 and led Modere to the third ranking on the WPO’s annual list of the 50 Fastest Growing Women-Led Companies that same year. She earned her BA from UC Berkeley and a dual MBA from Rice University. She is the recipient of Rice’s Alumni Industry Excellence Award in Entrepreneurship.

Rachel Jones, MS, RDN

As the Chief Nutrition Officer, Rachel Jones is responsible to ensure GNC offers cutting edge scientific solutions for consumers. She leads all GNC brand product development and strategy for the organization and advises on third party brands in the GNC portfolio to ensure they meet the company’s standards. Rachel has been with the company for over 15 years, and has held various leadership roles throughout her tenure. She offers a depth of experience in research and development, product innovation and international brand management. Prior to leading all GNC brand initiatives, she served as GNC’s Vice President of International Merchandising & Marketing for over 2 years. In this role she led international brand management, new product launches, and marketing support for over 50 international markets. For over 12 years, Rachel also served as a member of GNC’s Innovation and R&D department. Her experience covered responsibilities over GNC product innovation, new ingredient discovery, clinical study management, supplement formulation and substantiation of marketing claims. Throughout her tenure at GNC, Rachel has been a part of developing over 2000 GNC brand products. She has been featured on national and local media programs, developed nutrition content and provided nutrition counseling for GNC affiliated celebrities and brand ambassadors. As a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist (RDN), Rachel also has experience as a nutritionist supporting sports teams, professional athletes and patients in the hospital setting. She has served on the Board of Directors of her local and state nutrition & dietetic associations and on the Advisory Board for a local university’s nutrition science undergraduate and post graduate programs. Rachel currently resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her husband and two children.

Dawna Salter Venzon PhD, RD

Dawna Salter Venzon PhD, RD, is a Principal Scientist in Nutrition and Clinical Investigation at Amway, where she develops and supports dietary supplements for the Nutrilite™ Brand. Dr. Venzon holds a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and completed a post-doctoral fellow in Preventive Medicine at USC Medical School. Dr. Venzon regularly presents and publishes on a wide a variety of topics related to health, disease prevention, and nutrition supplementation. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the American Society of Nutrition, and the Society for Neuroscience.
