Athletes across a broad range of sports and activities are increasingly building high-intensity interval training (HIIT) into their training regimens. However, the role of nutrition in HIIT remains poorly characterised, and an optimal dietary intervention to complement HIIT has yet to be clearly established.
This webinar discusses how our clinical study set out to investigate the metabolic and performance adaptations of implementing different nutritional strategies in combination with this type of workout routine, revealing exciting results on how Optipep® 4Power hydrolysed whey protein consumption pre-exercise improves metabolic adaptation and performance, enabling the participants to generate more power for longer.
Speakers Tom Aird Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences University of Limerick, Ireland on behalf of Carbery Group Tom is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Limerick, where his work currently focuses on the nutritional regulation of exercise-induced metabolic and mitochondrial adaptations in human skeletal muscle.
