Four “Cs” Critical for Building Toward a Low-Carbon Future
Commitment, collaboration, communication and compromise

ON DEMAND THROUGH AUGUST 26, 2022

Duration:60 minutes

Abstract:

Building and construction are responsible for 38% of all carbon emissions in the world. This webinar will present the latest strategies, materials and technologies used to create buildings with lower embodied and operational carbon by looking at the new Meyer Memorial Trust headquarters in Portland, Ore. Representatives of the building team, including the owner, the architect and the contractor, will talk about the challenges common to many super-sustainable building projects and the solutions to those challenges.

They will also address how teams working on environmentally responsible buildings need to shift into a culture that fosters interdisciplinary commitment, collaboration, communication and compromise.

The content of this webinar is produced and directed by ENR's editorial team.
