Bluestein invests in early-stage ventures across the industry’s value chain including consumer brands, next-gen commerce, digital technology, and foodtech. Over the last ten years, Bluestein has invested in more than 50 companies including Factor 75 (exited to HelloFresh in 2020), FourKites, Meati, Vive Organic, Provi and Hireology. Andrew is an active participant in building the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Chicago, including co-founding Chicago Seed Co, a networking group of 100+ food investors. Before starting the fund, Andrew was a strategy consultant at Monitor Deloitte, and he has an MBA with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management and a B.S. with Honors from Cornell University. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife, Kate, and their two kids, Vivienne (9) and Aidan (6).

Eben grew up working on his family's farm in Vermont, where he began thinking of mycelium as new category of material with myriad possibilities. He has since developed mycelium technology into the basis of sustainable innovations across industrial categories, including applications in construction, packaging, food, automotive, fashion and apparel.
As an entrepreneur, inventor, and futurist, Eben speaks around the world communicating the immense potential of natural technologies, and advocating sustainable stewardship of Spaceship Earth. He has presented at TED Global (London), the World Economic Forum (Davos, Switzerland), and was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list (US). Eben's areas of interest and activity extend beyond mycelium technology, into agriculture, energy, physics, biopharmaceuticals, and alternative monetary systems.
Eben lives in and maintains an off-grid home with his family in the Capital Region of New York. In addition to his executive roles at Ecovative and MyForest Foods, he advises environmental start-ups in New York and around the globe.

Annie is a prolific social entrepreneur who studied Social Anthropology, Global Health and Health Policy at Harvard University. Before founding The Jackfruit Company, she served as the Nicaragua field investigator for a multi-country study on prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV and the Associate Director for the nonprofit Children of the Border, and she co-founded Remindavax, Inc., a text-message reminder program serving over 4,000 mother-child pairs and their community health workers in rural southern India. She is a Global Good Fund Fellow, one of Glamour’s 2012 Top Ten College Women, and a former (’10-’11) honorary Fellow at the Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship at MIT. She was selected for Phi Beta Kappa, Junior 24, for academic excellence at Harvard. Recently, Annie was included on Forbes “30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneurs” list for 2017.

Julie’s leadership enables the marketplace development team to collaborate with top industry players such as Kroger, Whole Foods Market, Walmart, Target, and Ahold to provide cutting-edge guidance that inspires action in the areas of plant-based merchandising and marketing best practices and menu expansion, while incorporating values, such as social justice and sustainability, into all decision-making.
She launched PBFA's Retail Advisory Council and currently sits on the Advisory Council for Plant Based World Expo and Indoor Ag-Con. Julie is an accomplished thought-leader who often speaks on panels, webinars, and podcasts to help educate about the significant plant-based foods business opportunity, as well its positive impact on health, sustainability, and animal welfare.
Julie has dedicated her career to the retail food industry in leadership roles with companies such as Kraft, Albertsons, MARS Advertising, and SPINS. She has deep experience developing marketing strategies, designing new product launches within the plant-based category, and leading successful sales teams.
Julie earned her master’s in business administration at St. Mary’s College, Executive Leadership certification at Cornell, is certified in nutrition education, and is passionate about understanding growth within plant-based foods, which remains at the epicenter of food industry growth.
