The Data Center Sustainability Challenge: Reducing Carbon and Water without Compromising Availability

Available On-demand Until October 28, 2022

Duration:60 minutes

Abstract:

The pressure on data center operators to reduce carbon emissions and water consumption is growing—from the market, municipalities, and their own organizations. As more businesses announce their plans to become carbon-free and water neutral, data center operators are responding with a multi-phase approach to meeting these objectives. This webinar will share the roadmap leading data center operators have taken to reducing carbon emissions and water consumption and the technologies and best practices that are making it possible.

Key Learnings:
  • The three-phased approach large operators are taking to eliminate carbon emissions from their operations.
  • What’s behind the trend toward water-free thermal management systems and the relationship between water consumption and energy efficiency.
  • New developments in power system design that are enabling operators to unlock stranded capacity and increase power system efficiency.
  • The impact of the influx of high-density racks on data center sustainability and what it means for the future of liquid cooling.
