Our Students Face an Attention Crisis: Understanding their Distracted Minds

Start Date:12/10/2018

Start Time:6:30 PM EST

Duration:60 minutes

Abstract:

Dr. Rosen has studied the impact of technology on students since the early 1980s and has noted that the past decade has been marked by stronger negative effects than ever including a lack of focus and attention among students. Providing compelling studies that demonstrate how and why attention spans have suffered, in this webinar he will present a model showing why he believes that it is a function of poor metacognition, boredom and technological anxiety or nomophobia. He will also present strategies for enhancing attention span in our "tap happy" students.
